Delete your account

Two ways to do it. You do not need the app, and you do not need to give a reason.

In the app

Open Profile, then Data & Privacy, then Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm.

By email

Write to us from the address on your account, saying you want it deleted.

support@cleansnap.co.uk

What happens next

  1. We confirm the request by email, and your account is closed immediately — you will not be able to sign in.
  2. There is a 30-day period before anything is erased. It exists so an account cannot be destroyed by someone who briefly got into it, and so you can change your mind. To cancel, use the link in the confirmation email, or just email us.
  3. After 30 days your personal data is erased or anonymised, and the deletion is irreversible.
  4. If you have a booking that has not happened yet, tell us — we will sort that out first so nobody is left waiting at a door.

What is deleted

What we have to keep, and why

Deletion does not override the law. These survive, and none of them stays linked to a usable identity:

What How long Why
Financial records of payments and earnings 7 years Required by HMRC
The record of which documents you accepted, and when 7 years To show we obtained consent lawfully. The technical identifiers on it — IP address, device — are removed at deletion
The decision on a report of content or conduct 2 years from closure To recognise repeat behaviour and answer a regulator or a court. The words themselves — the reported content, and anything the reporter wrote — are erased when either person deletes their account
A block you placed on another user Indefinitely So the two of you are never matched again. Anything you wrote about them is erased

Before you go

You can ask for a copy of your data first — in the app under Data & Privacy, or by emailing us. We respond within one calendar month. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
